Before you arm test …

Arm testing can give sensitive fingertips a break. But arm testing should only be used at certain times. Studies show that test results using blood taken from the arm may differ from fingertip samples when your blood glucose is changing rapidly, such as within two hours after a meal, an insulin dose or exercise. With that in mind, be sure to talk to your healthcare professional before you begin testing on your arm.
