Onetouch Diabetes Meter

A selection of leading diabetes meters — brands such as MediSense, Ascensia, Hypoguard and LifeScan … including the diabetes meter that allows for one touch testing — the  OneTouch® Ultra® are offered by diabetes supply companies such as Liberty Medical Supply.

The OneTouch Ultra diabetes meter requires just a speck of blood and provides results in five seconds. You can also test on your arm, which may be less painful than finger testing. The OneTouch Ultra diabetes meter’s tiny sample size can mean less pain, even when you test on your fingers.*

Best of all, diabetes meters, such as the OneTouch Ultra, may be reimbursable by Medicare if you qualify.

Before you arm test …

Arm testing can give sensitive fingertips a break. But arm testing should only be used at certain times. Studies show that test results using blood taken from the arm may differ from fingertip samples when your blood glucose is changing rapidly, such as within two hours after a meal, an insulin dose or exercise. With that in mind, be sure to talk to your healthcare professional before you begin testing on your arm.

I’m writing for my mom, who’s 88 years old and can’t use your meters becuase there so hard for her, she’s been using the one touch basic for years for you can leave it on the table and use both hands to put the blood sample on. now they stopped making the test strips for it, and gave her a ultra mini to use, she can’t put the strip in for she has just one good eye now let alone putting the mini next to her blood sample to pick it up with the test strip it’s impossible to for her. And all the meters I seen here are the same you have, Now if you care for all the people that have diabetes young and old HELP PLEASE.
