Liberty Health – An Excellent Place to Work

In addition to being a leading medical supplier, Liberty Health – also known as Liberty Medical, is also a leading employer of workers in United States, with almost 5,000 employees. Despite recent economic conditions, Liberty Health has continued to grow, hiring almost 800 employees over the past year. The company supplies medications and equipment to patients with a variety of disorders, the most common being diabetes. It offers at-home delivery to improve convenience for customers. Many of Liberty Health’s customers are on a Medicare program, so employees also gain a lot of experience working with government health systems.

Headquartered in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Liberty Health has jobs in a variety of fields ranging from pharmaceutical sales, to human resources and customer support. Although its main location is in Florida, the company also has large operations in Roanoke, Virginia and Colorado so potential employees have many options to choose from.

Because of its strong economic growth, Liberty Health (or Liberty Med as it’s sometimes known) has been a strong asset to its community over the past year. At a time when most companies are laying off employees, Liberty Med is actively seeking new hires. Especially in Florida where the unemployment rate reached 10 percent in October, 2009, these new hires are especially important.

Sometimes Liberty Health is confused for Liberty Mutual, an insurance company focused on auto and home insurance. However, individuals interested in working for a medical supply company should focus their efforts on Liberty Health. The company provides excellent experience in the health industry. Liberty Mutual, on the other hand, is focused more on insurance, and although they do offer health insurance, employees do not gain the same type of health-care industry experience that they would receive at Liberty Health.

Interested applicants can find more information about jobs on the Liberty Health website (be careful not to type in Liberty Med or Liberty Mutual). Sites such as CareerBuilder.com and CareerVault.com also have information about working for the company and job listings.
