AgaMatrix Diabetes Meters

Catch the "Wave" with AgaMatrix

AgaMatrix develops and manufactures a line of diabetes products designed to improve the quality of diabetes care. AgaMatrix’s diabetes meters feature WaveSense™, a new technology that provides increased accuracy.

AgaMatrix WaveSense technology detects and corrects for many errors caused by differences in blood samples and environmental conditions.

AgaMatrix diabetes meters use Dynamic Electrochemistry™ to capture data that traditional static electrochemical methods simply cannot capture. And more- comprehensive data means more-accurate glucose readings.

Zero-Click™, the WaveSense diabetes data management system from AgaMatrix, was designed to simplify data download from diabetes meters. WaveSense and Zero-Click consist of six FDA-cleared products that are protected by more than 160 patents worldwide.

AgaMatrix WaveSense Corrects for Common Errors

With WaveSense Technology, AgaMatrix diabetes meters correct for common sources of errors that make blood glucose measurements inaccurate. Some of the common errors are:

  • Blood sample variations. Hematocrit variations can effect your readings. Hematocrit is the amount of red blood cells a sample of your blood contains. Hematocrit levels vary between men and women, and between different individuals.
  • Chemical interferences.  Food and drink can also cause problems (the vitamin C in orange juice can cause innacurate readings, for example).
  • Environmental conditions. Altitude and/or temperature can impact the blood sample.
  • Manufacturing variations.  Subtle differences can exist between test strips — even those produced by the same manufacturer.

More Information = Better Numbers
AgaMatrix diabetes meters with WaveSense Technology analyze many different variables to help correct for common interference effects.

  • AgaMatrix KeyNote diabetes meters use dynamic electrochemistry and digital signal processing for extremely accure results. And this meter is super compact, designed to fit in the smallest purse or the tightest pair of jeans.
  • Tired of testing on your fingers? The WaveSense Presto from AgaMatrix makes it possible to test on your palms or forearms. Advanced data management features include 14-, 30-, and 90- day averages and graphs.
  • Zero-Click™ Data Management Software from AgaMatrix allows users and healthcare professionals to easily download results from WaveSense-enabled blood glucose meters. Download your results via the convenient USB connection and view your numbers in easy-to-understand reports. Zero-Click provides dynamic reports that allow you to spot trends in your numbers.

AgaMatrix Diabetes Meters and Medicare Coverage

Medicare benefits, insurance coverage and reimbursement can be very confusing. The good news is that AgaMatrix diabetes meters are covered by Medicare. If you are receiving Medicare Part B benefits, you can be reimbursed for most of your costs of eligible AgaMatrix diabetes care products. This applies whether you use insulin or not.
